DAY 19: OILS TO BUILD YOUR BUSINESS
It’s only fitting that we talk about some essential oils that can help you build your business. Essential oils help raise your frequency which can help you attract MORE of what you want into your life. If you’re not sure what frequency is, open up your reference materials and somewhere in the first few pages you’ll see it. Read about it – it’s an important aspect of essential oils.
We all know that Young Living Essential Oils can help support a healthy lifestyle, and help you feel GREAT – and that will inspire you to build this business, but they can also help you get creative, stay motivated, remain free of everyday stresses, and help you reach your highest potential.
Here are some of my favorites:
ENVISION: Envision™ stimulates creativity and resourcefulness, encouraging renewed faith in the future and the ability to maintain the emotional fortitude necessary to achieve goals and dreams. Sometimes in life, for a variety of reasons, people suppress their internal drive. Envision helps awaken and renew that drive to overcome fear and begin experiencing new, more rewarding dimensions.
How to use: I apply 1-2 drops on my forehead and back of my neck throughout the day while I’m working and also at night before bed.
VALOR: Use Valor™ to greet each morning with a positive attitude or to unwind at the end of the day. Its powerful yet calming scent is versatile enough that you can integrate it into your morning and bedtime routines and anywhere in between. It also helps to instill confidence and courage.
How to use: Apply on the wrists/neck as perfume/cologne. Apply it to the bottoms of your feet each morning, and to your shoulders throughout the day. Diffuse in the morning.
ABUNDANCE: This is one of my favorite oils. If you don’t know about the Law of Attraction, please read The Secret or Think and Grow Rich. Many of the books that I encouraged you to read are from authors who know about this Law of Attraction. When you understand it, your life will change forever. Abundance™ Essential Oil is created to enhance the frequency of the harmonic magnetic energy field that surrounds us. This higher frequency creates what is called "the law of attraction," which refers to the things we attract to ourselves. Abundance opens us to a wealth of possibilities.
How to use: Apply on wrists, back of the neck and shoulders daily to attract an abundance of what you want into your life. You can also diffuse. I often say to myself as I put the oil on, “I intend to attract…” or “I am so happy & grateful for…” And I say what I want to attract that day whether it’s two new enrollees, a surprise check in the mail, YOU CAN ATTRACT ANYTHING YOU WANT. Hmm... maybe we’ll spend a day talking about this! J

How to use: I don’t wear this one daily, but I keep it close in case I need to use it. And when I do use it – it works. I apply it to my wrists and over my shoulders while I’m working (or trying to work). It also helps motivate you for ANYTHING – even a workout!

DAY 18: CARE CALLS
This goes along with following-up. Once you have members, it’s important to keep in touch with them to see how they are doing. I know I keep saying this but this is a RELATIONSHIP BUILDING business. Always keep in touch with your members.
CARE CALLS ARE NOT SALES CALLS. “They don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” You have to genuinely care about your members and their journeys to do this business well. These calls should take less than 10 minutes and are a time to ask if they have any questions, see what products they’re using currently and to make sure they are aware of the resources available to them. This is also a time to invite them to the next class whether it’s a make-and-take or other educational event, if they want to learn more information.

I always struggle with REMEMBERING to do care calls so it’s important to schedule a day of the week to make a couple calls a day, and always remember there is a spot in your DOWNLINE VIEWER to record notes from each call. You can also have a planned day a month to talk with one of your members. That way they can look forward to the call. You can help them with their Essential Rewards order, etc.

It's important to find some mentors in this business. You probably have heard the quote by Jim Rohn, "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with," right? In network marketing, you want to be like those in the top of the company because they are doing what will bring you there. They are talking to people, they are sharing their experiences, they are educating others.
By following the top leaders in the company, and other network marketing or entrepreneurial gurus, you'll learn skills and tools that will help you develop your business and grow it exponentially. I have learned A LOT from these people and I'm hoping you will too.

After you’ve mastered the ESSENTIAL SKILLS – teaching an Oils 101 Class, being duplicable, and sharing with others. Now it’s time to work on YOURSELF. There are so many awesome books to read to improve your skills, move past your fears, and just CRUSH YOUR GOALS. These tools are motivational and will push you to continue to work on yourself.
Move past your excuses – you DO have time to work on yourself. If you can’t sit down with a book because of other distractions, use the audible app on your phone or get books on cd and listen to them in the car when you’re driving or while you’re cleaning the house. LEARNERS ARE EARNERS and LEADERS ARE READERS. If you’re not growing, neither is your business.

DAY 15: GOALS & AVERAGE EARNINGS
I know the comp plan is a little confusing, so we may revisit it before the end of this series. But today we’re going to talk about GOALS and average rank earnings. You may be wondering what kind of income you can expect to earn from a network marketing career, so we're going to talk about it today.
My first question for you is this, “What would it cost you to pursue your life’s passion?” How much would you need to live where you want, to do what you love? Most people don’t even think about their life’s passion. They just think “If I get a job and make money now, I can do what I want later...” Often times, people never end up doing what they truly love, they just keep working that JOB.
BUILD YOUR DREAM NOW, then find the vehicle to get you there. So we all know our WHY right? Everyone’s is different. But it’s the driving force behind what we are doing RIGHT NOW. Are you doing everything you can to reach your dreams? And we’re talking BIG, LIFE-FULFILLING dreams.
Let’s take a look at what the average rank earns. This is from Young Living's 2013 Income Disclosure Statement, but if YL had an updated one I can guarantee averages would be HIGHER because YL has had EXPLOSIVE growth over the past few years:
A pretty easy PLAN/GOAL would be to achieve one RANK per year. That sounds extremely doable, considering a lot of people who have achieved the ranks of diamond+ have done so in less than 3 years. So let’s just say it takes 9 years for you to achieve the rank of diamond.
Now let me ask you this, “If you could make $100,000+ A MONTH, would you WORK HARD for 9 years?” Would you work hard for just 5 years to earn $6500+ a MONTH at the rank of GOLD? Yea… me too. Remember this is RESIDUAL INCOME. The income doesn’t stop coming when you stop working. You’ll STILL get paid if you want to take that month-long vacation with your family. Or if you want to take the summer off to road trip across the country or backpack through Europe – you’ll STILL get paid.
Now is the time to write down your GOALS. You should have a goal right now to AT LEAST achieve the rank of SILVER. Silver is a solid monthly income. Star and Senior Star will get your products paid for, Executive you’re starting to earn some extra cash (that you should put back into your biz), and Silver – you’re earning an income. Some of you could quit your day job if you want to.
There's a good quote from Jim Rohn "I'm working full-time on my job, and part-time on my fortune." Because most of us start out at this business part-time, less than 10 hours a week. But in the end - this business reaps the most rewards - it ends up being our FORTUNE.
The first few ranks are the HARDEST – DON’T GIVE UP. It will feel, at times, like you’re pushing a rock uphill. You put a lot of time and effort into your business and it grows slowly but surely. THAT’S OKAY – it’s normal. Eventually, with duplication, you’ll find that your team is starting to grow with you, your leaders are taking initiative and teaching their own classes, and you’re growing steadily with less effort. By the time you reach diamond, you’re coasting downhill… you could do nothing and your check will continue to climb. This is my goal. I want that $100K+ a month while I’m free to do whatever I want, anywhere in the world. That is time freedom, that is financial freedom – and we’re ALL working towards it together.

Welcome to DAY 14 of 29 Days of the Young Living Business Series. Each day in February, I'll post a business tip to help you get started sharing these amazing products and growing your business.
DAY 14: CREATING A FOUNDATION & PLACEMENT
Creating a foundation is important to your business. The sooner you start building your “legs”, the better. The first step to starting a foundation is to have at least 7 people on your LEVEL 1 or your “front line” who are on Essential Rewards, or at least ordering every few months. This is your first goal. So as you start enrolling people, just put them on your LEVEL 1 until you have 7 people on ER.
Your second goal is as you sign-up these people and teach them about the products (enough so that they order every month on ER), educate them about the business opportunities and offer to teach a class for their friends & family. THEN they’ll start signing people up. Their “legs” will start building naturally.
PLACEMENT: You can “place” new personally-enrolled members under the sponsorship of those 7 people on your LEVEL 1. This will allow you to start building towards the Rising Star Team Bonus. This also sets you up to eventually achieve the highest rank in the company of Royal Crown Diamond.
If someone on your front line is on Essential Rewards, it’s always a nice gesture to give them a new member to sponsor—keep yourself as the enroller. It gives them a taste for what the business is like and how their team can easily grow. You will still earn the Start Living and Fast Start bonuses. After a new member signs up, you can call Young Living (or use LIVE HELP) within 5 days after they enroll, and change their enroller and/or sponsor.
Not EVERYONE will want to work this as a business – they may just want to purchase product and that’s OKAY. Most likely if you give them time they’ll discover that sharing the product is easy and that being compensated for it is even easier. Work with them when they are ready. On the other side of that you may have people who are signing up and wanting to work the business IMMEDIATELY. Teach these people how to share and how to be compensated, but let them take the initiative to build on their own. Don’t throw new members under them until they show that they can do this business. I have run into this problem often where I give a member EVERYTHING they need to start building and they don’t enroll a single person. They eventually drop off of autoship and then never order again. I have taught classes for these members as well and given them members to sponsor and a few months later they’ve given up. These are not the people you want to invest your time in. So don’t worry about what they’re doing just continue working with your other members and enrolling new ones.
We’re MINING FOR DIAMONDS. I just posted a graphic in our leaders group that said,
“THERE IS NO SECRET. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said “NO” and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire.”
This explains network marketing perfectly. You will talk to SO MANY people about Young Living. Many of which will buy a start kit - about half of those people won't buy anything again. Half of the people that do order again will get on Essential Rewards. Half of the people on Essential Rewards will enroll a new member. Half of those that enroll a new member will be serious about building a business. And half of those that are will be your core group that are going to Diamond Rank+ with you. You’re looking for just a couple handful of people to actually build WITH you and make it to the top. Are you coming with me?!

DAY 13: THE COMPENSATION PLAN
Let’s get into the compensation plan! This is where it gets good. So now you know how to use the products, how to share with others, how to sign someone up, and how to teach a class, you’re well on your way to building a successful business with Young Living. Here is where you get PAID. We want to MAXIMIZE your paycheck with Young Living each month and this section will teach you how. We’re only going to be talking about the comp plan UP until you reach SILVER rank. We can take another look at the comp plan when you’re all closer to Silver.
The RANKS: Every month your rank resets to zero. Each month you have to earn your rank. Each rank has qualifications. Here are the ranks:
Distributor: 50 PV
Star: 100 PV | 500 OGV
Senior Star: 100 PV | 2,000 OGV
Executive: 100 PV | 4,000 OGV | 2 legs at 1,000 OGV
Silver: 100 PV | 10,000 OGV | 2 legs at 4,000 OGV | 1,000 PGV
Wherever you fall right now, WORK towards your next rank. Only focus on that next rank.
The QUALIFICATIONS: In order to earn a commission from Young Living, you’re required to purchase a certain amount of product each month. This is where Essential Rewards comes into play. I want you to get THE MOST out of your commission, and ER will save you money. If you CANNOT commit to purchasing product every month, you shouldn’t be in this business. I would STILL purchase from Young Living every month whether or not I was working this as a business, because I love the products. It’s hard to share products you don’t use or love, right? You can easily MAKE BACK your investment each month by enrolling just TWO people each month. This post will show you how.
CUSTOMER COMMISSIONS: This is where you earn money on Retail Customers (remember those customers who didn’t want to save 24% and purchase a PSK?). You earn 24% on these orders. For instance, you have a retail customer who orders a product for $48. You earn $11.52 on that order.
NEW MEMBER BONUSES: If you’re just starting out, this is where you’ll make the most money and where you want to focus your efforts.
Let's see these in action. When you enroll a new member with the PSK (100 PV), you’ll earn the one-time START LIVING BONUS of $25, PLUS the FAST START BONUS of 25% of their PV, which is another $25 for a TOTAL OF $50. So for each member you enroll with JUST a Premium Starter Kit, you’ll earn $50. If they order additional products, you’ll earn more. If they order again within 3 months, you’ll earn 25% of their orders. More $$ in your pocket! So it's crucial to educate your members about Young Living's other products they want to be using such as the Thieves Line, NingXia Red and other nutritional supplements. YL Products are CONSUMABLE so members order frequently when they run out.
UNILEVEL COMMISSIONS: This is the main type of commission you’ll need to understand right now. These are commissions you earn while you’re JUST getting started. This commission is a SPONSOR-based commission. For this, you’ll need to understand the STRUCTURE of your business and the LEVELS. It’s easier to explain with photos, so please take a look at structure below. Your PERSONALLY SPONSORED members are your LEVEL 1. Their personally sponsored members are your LEVEL 2, and so on. For anyone on your LEVEL 1 you earn 8% of their PV. For anyone on your LEVEL 2 you earn 5% of their PV. And anyone on your LEVEL 3-5 you earn 4% of their PV. You can view your organization in your Virtual Office, under MY ORGANIZATION, and under DOWNLINE VIEWER. This viewer will show you what level the person is.
COMPRESSION: Young Living’s comp plan has a unique feature called compression. This occurs when a member in your downline fails to place an order of 50 PV during the month. Their members, up to and including the first qualifying member, roll-up to be on the same level as the member who did not place a qualifying order. For example, Susie is your LEVEL 1 and she only placed a 30 PV order. She does NOT qualify for commission. Matt on your LEVEL 2, under Susie, placed a 150 PV order. Because of Compression, Matt will roll-up to be your LEVEL 1 so instead of earning 5% on his order, you’ll earn 8%! Pretty awesome, right?
The RISING STAR TEAM BONUS: This is a behavior-driven bonus. To be successful in this business, you have to love the products and you have to love to share and teach others to share (AKA Duplication)! If you enroll 2 people each month, you’ll have a team of 25 members by the end of the year (including you). If you enroll JUST 1 person each month and then TEACH every new member (by way of duplication) to enroll JUST 1 person each month, you’ll have a team of 4,096 members by the end of the year. MUCH larger team than 25, right? That’s the power of duplication and compounding. This bonus is given to those that are helping to teach others to share and be rewarded as well.
ONLY Stars, Senior Stars, and Executive ranks qualify for this bonus.
You can ONLY earn this Rising Start Team Bonus for 24 months. So again, it’s setting you up perfectly to achieve the next rank so you’re well on your way to Silver!

Welcome to DAY 12 of 29 Days of the Young Living Business Series. Each day in February, I'll post a business tip to help you get started sharing these amazing products and growing your business.
DAY 12: DUPLICATION
Today's topic is short but necessary: we’re talking about DUPLICATION. The ONLY way you’ll succeed in this business is if you’re duplicable. So in EVERYTHING that you do KEEP IT SIMPLE, but put your personal touch on it. For instance, in teaching a class, Keep it simple – don’t out do yourself and hold some extravagant event. When guests come to the event they will think they can’t have the same type of class themselves, and thus won’t try to build a business or share. You want people to see what you’re doing and think, “I can do that too!”
When you sign someone up- make sure you walk them through it so they know how easy it is to sign someone else up. Also, if a member needs help placing an order – walk them through it. That way, they’ll know how to do it in the future, and they’ll also be able to help others.
It’s important to remember not to do EVERYTHING for your downline members. I struggle with this sometimes, because I want to help you out but often times the best help is to teach you guys how to do it yourselves. So I have literally tried to hand everything to you on a silver platter – scripts, presentations, etc. in hopes that you will take the initiative to use these things and grow in your own personal way. I also hope you will share these tools with your downline members so that they can grow with you. This journey is MUCH more enjoyable when you have like-minded people traveling with you! :)
Young Living really strives to make everything duplicable in its marketing materials. Inside your virtual office, under member resources, there is a wealth of informational graphics to share. Use these tools. They also offer presentations for you to download and use for classes.
Just remember – in everything you do from your business cards you hand out, to the sample packets you give, or any other samples, giveaways, classes, etc. that you have – keep it simple, keep it duplicable. And always let new members know – they can share too!
In being duplicable the best way to go about classes is this: Teach one class for a downline member who is hosting and his/her guests, then be there to co-teach the second class. For the third class, be at the class, but have your downline member teach the full class. It’s a learning process for them but it really helps fire them up and get them going. They will see you in action, see how easy it is to duplicate, and then they’ll be confident in teaching their own class.

Welcome to DAY 11 of 29 Days of the Young Living Business Series. Each day in February, I'll post a business tip to help you get started sharing these amazing products and growing your business.
DAY 11: THE OILS 101 CLASS
Let’s get to THE DAY YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR: the CLASS. Notice how I didn’t call it a party. Young Living is different in that we teach you about the product in 30-45 minutes, and then you can leave with the information or purchase your kit. But you are never obligated to buy anything at a class. In fact, it’s not recommended to have any product available for someone to purchase at a class for this reason. You can, however, have PSKs available for anyone who is interested in getting started right away - but this is completely optional. The purpose of a class is to educate on why we use essential oils and how to use them. It’s also a place where people can try the oils for themselves and get the whole experience of living with essential oils. Amd it's super important to KEEP IT SIMPLE.
STEP 1: PLAN. You can have a class ANYWHERE. You can have it in your home, at your workplace, at the local library, in a friends home, in the park, etc. Get creative! Ask your friends and family if they would like you to teach a class for their friends & family. Have new members? Ask them, if they’d like to hold a class, and you’ll teach. Then plan a time that works for MOST people. There will be some who can’t make it – offer to meet with them 1-on-1 if they’d like to still learn, or invite them to the next one. Weekends are usually best in the winter, and afternoons/nights in the summer – but it’s up to you.
STEP 2: INVITE. Send out invitations to people you want to invite to your class. You can send via mail, email, facebook, etc. Keep extra invites in your purse and with you, for when you talk to a stranger or acquaintance and want to invite them as well. Follow-up with the people you invite a few days before the event to remind them. They will appreciate this, since schedules get hectic. DON’T FEEL LIKE YOU’RE BOTHERING THEM. Once you change your thoughts from feeling like a salesperson to feeling like you’re helping them and changing their lives, you will be more comfortable. TEAM: we have an invite in our team resources page for you to use.
STEP 2: PREPARE. The ONLY thing you need for a class is the Premium Starter Kit. You’ll also want to have some informational material, whether you purchase it or print it at your own home, at least have one sheet of info on the oils for people to walk away with. I like to have these booklets:http://bit.ly/1KTiRSB. But you can have whatever you’d like.
STEP 3: SET-UP. Like I said before, the only thing you absolutely need to have is the PSK (including a diffuser), and informational materials. I like to unbox the kit IN FRONT of everyone so I leave the oils in there and just set it up on a table and have the diffuser running. You can fill a spray bottle of water and put oils in it and spray throughout your house or the room you’re in to freshen up and get the spa-like atmosphere. It’s also nice to have water out with glasses and lemon essential oil. This will let your guests try the oils in water. It’s very refreshing. If I have them on hand, I’ll also set out some of Thieves products, like cleaner, spray and hand soap because they are mentioned in the booklets and are a great way to introduce your guests to a healthier home. You can have a sign-in sheet at the class as well to capture guest information for following-up. We DON'T recommend having food or other distractions because it’s more of a class. But you’re welcome to put out just a couple things for people to snack on during the presentation. There are other types of “classes” that you can teach where snacks and food would be allowed. My sister held a "spa day" where we had oil-infused cocktails, massages, and other EO treats as well as a class. In this case, you can have other things out. I’ll mention the others at the end.
STEP 4: TEACH. Welcome your guests and offer them water with lemon EO. Have a quick casual conversation with each guest to find out what they’re looking to learn more about, why they’re there, and what changes they’d like to make in their lives. We’re BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS. If you know what your audience is looking for, you can TAILOR YOUR PRESENTATION to fit them! Have them gather in the living room, or area where you are teaching. Have them sign-in and write down their name and email/phone – remember you’ll use this later for following-up. Pass out the informational sheets and let your guests know they can take notes if they choose. The booklets I mentioned before have note pages in the back, but if you print off your own informational sheets they can most likely write on the back of the paper. Have the diffuser going. If you pass out the booklets right away, guests will glance through and you’ll hear some chatter about what they are interested in learning about – pay attention to these remarks so you can talk about them when you get there. Everything you need to know to teach a class is in the Product Guide. The first few pages talk about what EOs are, how to use them, and WHY YL. TEAM: We have a script that will help you learn the basis of a class in the TEAM RESOURCES page and in the FILES section of our Leaders Group on Facebook.
STEP 6: OTHER CLASSES. Always have a next class planned. There are multiple types of classes you can have. The 3 MUST-HAVE classes you want to teach every month are: OILS 101 class, Intro to Biz Class, and then an OTHER class. The biz class we’ll talk about toward the end of the month, work on intro classes right now. The OTHER CLASS: These can range from make-and-take classes, to winter wellness, to a Gentle Babies class, Skin Care, Healthy & Fit, the list goes on. These other classes should be for MEMBERS. Everyone should go to an INTRO class first - not a make and take or skincare class. If you plan to have these classes each month – you’ll always have a NEXT event to invite someone to. These events don’t ALWAYS have to be in your home – they can be on facebook, in a online webinar, a 1-on-1 class. Use your creativity and use your time wisely.
MORE CLASSES MEANS MORE MONEY. These are words to live by. The more classes you have, the more people you will educate, the more sign-ups you will get, and the more educated your members will be. Soo, now that you know how to put on an OILS 101 class - I highly recommend you pull out your calendar right now, and set a date for your FIRST class! Once you set a date, you can use the invite on our team resources page to send to friends & family. It doesn't even have to be a class in person, it can be on Facebook. BUT with the FEBRUARY SPECIAL of 10% off STARTER KITS - how can you NOT hold a class this month? Get to it! Throw your excuses out the window - don't say you'll wait til the weather gets better, or "when you have time". NO MORE EXCUSES. Set a date, send out the invites, welcome your guests, and teach! It's super simple and the more you do it, the more comfortable you'll get. And even if no one shows up (that's happened to me before), it's NO BIG DEAL. Plan the next one and send out invites, and don't forget to follow-up BEFORE the class and AFTER.

DAY 10: FOLLOWING UP & THE FEAR OF SOUNDING LIKE A SALESPERSON
Today is all about following up. You can make every effort to introduce someone to essential oils but if you never follow-up with them, you will lose their interest. This is important NOT ONLY for prospects but for new enrollees as well. Let’s say you gave someone a sample packet of Lavender. Make sure you get their contact info so you can follow-up with them to see how they liked it. THEN, make a note to remember to give them a call or send them a text. Ask, “Hey did you get a chance to try that Lavender oil? How’d you like it?”. Remind them how to use the oil, and ask if they have questions, now is a great time to answer them. You can also invite them to a class to learn more about this amazing stuff. Inviting them to a class is KEY to having them purchase a kit—unless they know they’re already interested in more oils (we LOVE these types of people!) :)
One of the things you’ll read about constantly in network marketing books, is that you always want to have a next point of contact. The saying goes, "The fortune is in the follow-up." If you give someone an oil to try, information to look over, etc. make sure you get their contact info and let them know you’ll follow-up with them in a few days. You CANNOT guarantee that they’ll contact you when they’re interested. In fact, you should never rely on that. They may be interested, but they “don’t have time” to call you or just forget – the excuses they could give are endless. YOU CONTACT THEM. When you give something out say, “I’ll give you a call in a couple days to see how you liked it, would that be okay?” Get past this fear. The more times you do it, the more comfortable you get.
The fear of sounding like a salesperson: We ALL have this fear. We “don’t want to bug” our new prospects. It’s understandable. Here is how to NOT feel like a salesperson. BECOME A PROBLEM SOLVER. Find out what is important to your prospect or new member. GET TO KNOW THEM. This is “relationship marketing”, remember? The ONLY thing people want to hear about your business or your product, is HOW IT WILL HELP THEM. So tailor your speech or your presentation to the needs of your prospect or new member. For instance, remember when we were talking about prospecting and I said to have that casual conversation first so you can get to know them? Or if you’re friends with them on Facebook and you’ve been following the fact that they have fussy little ones. TAILOR your follow-up to meet their needs. If you gave them peace & calming to help put their little one to sleep, ask them if they have had a chance to use it yet – remind them how, and give a little story about how it has helped you or one of your friends. Don’t SELL, just SHARE. SHARE the way you use the oils, and how they will help solve the problem of your prospect. You will never feel like a salesperson if you are helping improve the lives of others. You have to make it personal and build that relationship.
After you have enrolled a new member, it’s important to follow-up with them after about a week to make sure they’ve received the oils. Keep that conversation flowing about WHY they joined YL to begin with. What I do with new members is I enter their email into an automated email series I send out – the 14 day challenge. This challenge sends an email each day for two weeks about an oil or product AFTER they’ve received their kit. This helps them get to know the oils more and helps them break open the kit.
You can also make the NEXT POINT OF CONTACT a date (or phone call) to meet with their new member in person to “unbox” the kit and walk through it. This is perfect if they haven’t been to a class and they are LOCAL. You want them to understand how to use the oils (topically, aromatically, and internally). This is also a great time to walk them through how to use their “virtual office”. You can’t guarantee that someone will learn the system on their own. It’s always nice to walk them through the system, even create a “mock-up” order of the next items they want to try. Remember, you always want to have that “next” point of contact. You can plan to meet with them again (or call) and chat about some of YL’s other household products, etc.
TIP: In your virtual office, in "MY ORGANIZATION" next to every member there is a spot to put notes. This is where you can put when you've contacted someone, what you talked about, so you can remember when to follow-up and what about. When your organization starts to grow this will be a HUGE help.
